Coffee is an important part of my life. Rarely a day goes
by when I don't have one. I remember people telling me
when I discovered coffee (age 7) that it would stunt my
growth. Those that know me realize it's not true (I'm 6'2").
When I was 14 I worked for Mr. Donut
which was actually a great chain. The coffee was REALLY good
and I had a lot of fun there. I started working the counter
from 6am-12pm (during the summer) and then started the
graveyard shift (11pm-7am) finishing donuts and serving
customers. Not long after that, I graduated to baking and
usually just did that on weekends. It's one of those jobs
that you are happy you did in life because it taught you
a few things.
Now I love Tim Hortons. I don't spend nearly as much time there as I once did (I was there 2-4 times a day, and often stayed sitting there for an hour or so a day). I've dated employees, made good friends there and even befriended a manager or two (why not?, sometimes you can get free coffee).
I've tried Coffee Time and I do like Starbucks but I keep coming back to Tim! The stuff I drink at Datasym is burning a hole in my stomach I think though. Yikes!
