If you like comedies on TV, you'll love comedies on radio. All the various genres on TV originated in radio. Every night of the week you could listen to your favourite sitcom - Fibber McGee and Molly, The Bickersons, Amos and Andy, Father Knows Best, The Life of Riley.

You could go to school with Our Miss Brooks, go through the teen years with the Aldrich and Anderson and Hardy Families.

There were the spinoffs like The Great Gildersleeve.

You could listen to your favourite cartoon characters - Mel Blanc had his own show and Mel was the voice of Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Porky Pig, Foghorn Leghorn, Tweety, Sylvester, Yosemite Sam and the Flintstones' Barney Rubble. Or you could hear Popeye.

There were the ditzy blonds like My Friend Irma and Maise in the Adventures of Maisie. Or the "mean little kid" - Baby Snooks.

Or, you could hear the top comedians of the day on their own shows - Abbott and Costello, Jack Benny, Bob Hope and Red Skelton. Listen to all their famous routines. For Abbott and Costello it was their baseball routine - Who's On First.

Come back often and see the changes.
